The Orchard Event Venue & Retreat

With over 100 acres, The Orchard Event Venue & Retreat offers couples and their guests an unforgettable wedding experience against the backdrop of a beautiful pecan orchard. The venue boasts multiple sites for a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and/or reception, such as The Pergola, the Plaza, The Pecan Room, and Reception Hall. The Orchard also offers on-site lodging in a six-bedroom lodge with a pool and 15 cabins with fire pits and games. It’s the perfect setting for an unforgettable day!

Rated at 5 stars, read what a former bride, Megan Roan, has to say, “The Orchard is an absolute dream venue for any wedding ceremony and/or reception. Kevin, Ashley, and the rest of the team were so easy to work with and made the rehearsal and wedding day go so smoothly. Ashley was such a help in answering my questions for the entire 18 months of planning, especially the month of the wedding. There are so many options at The Orchard that any couple can make the place their own for what they want their big day to be. The Lodge and cabins were perfect for our families to stay on-site and were a huge bonus for the wedding party to start getting ready in. Our families and the wedding party were able to hang out around the cabins throughout the entire weekend and get to know each other even more, especially since many of them are spread out across the state and country. Kevin and his staff bartended the day-of, and our guests never had to wait in a long line. The furniture and other amenities were perfectly arranged once we arrived, and everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend visiting this venue when you are looking, as it was my favorite of the many we visited and was definitely the most flexible and helpful of all the venues in the area. Plus they can accommodate a large guest count and have plenty of space for everyone. Thank y’all for allowing us to have the best day!”

The Carlisle Room

The Carlisle Room in downtown Dallas is the perfect location for the fun-loving couple looking for a wedding with a big-city vibe. Located in the renovated Lone Star Gas building, built in 1931, this venue is the perfect blend of historic charm, Art Deco style, and modern luxury. Featuring marble walls, terrazzo floors, and 17-foot ceilings, it’s an awe-inspiring venue that can accommodate up to 200 people. Any wedding here will be an event to remember!

Former bride, Sara F recommends The Carlisle Room by saying, “We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at The Carlisle Room. We chose the space based on its awesome downtown location, having both (but separate) ceremony and reception space, unique and historical design and architecture, and the items included. We loved that we needed minimal décor and “extras” to make both the ceremony and reception space beautiful. The Carlisle Room + Beyond the Box provides the seating (although we did splurge for the $7 per chair for the gold chiavari reception chairs), drink and plate-ware, and tables, so few rentals are needed (linens and centerpieces). Jennifer was helpful and knowledgeable about the space. Our friends and family thought the space was stunning and a perfect size for our 143 guest count (~15 tables). We would definitely recommend The Carlisle Room if you’re looking for a cool downtown wedding (and delicious food from Beyond the Box).”

Louise, a former groom says, “We had both our ceremony and reception at the Fort Worth Zoo. The ceremony was held on the deck outside of the Portraits of the Wild Art Gallery and it was beautiful! The reception was inside the gallery. We had the Wild Wonders Animal Presentation, where the WW staff brought around 4 animals to each table during the reception. We got to pose with the animals and all our guests thought it was so cool and unique to have animals at our wedding. The Zoo catered the food and we got so many compliments on it! The staff was wonderful and they made sure everything ran smoothly. I loved this venue because it was beautiful and unique.”

Nasher Sculpture Center Gardens

If you are an art-loving couple, the Nasher Sculpture Center Gardens may be the wedding venue for you. It is an urban retreat that offers outdoor and indoor ceremonies where you will be surrounded by works of art from master sculptors such as Picasso, Matisse, Miro, Giacometti, Calder and Rodin. This stunning venue will let you create a unique wedding experience you will never forget.

Diana recommends Nasher for their great professionalism, “Our first meeting with Nasher was amazing. They helped us feel very comfortable with everything, especially a rain plan since our reception would be held outdoors. I think we ended up with 3 plans at the end of day but thank goodness we did not require them. They did such a wonderful job helping us create the atmosphere we wanted our guests to experience. We ended up putting up lights where they usually don’t go just for us. If you want an outdoor wedding this is definitely the place to go. The ceremony can only be held inside but that worked out well since it was warm outside.”

Fort Worth is known as Funky Town and this venue embraces that vibe while still being refined and modern. Located in the Dallas Arts District, this venue has multiple indoor and outdoor areas to choose from for your ceremony and reception, such as a Sculpture Garden that features a reflecting pool, and the Hamon Atrium featuring Dale Chihuly glass suspended in front of windows and doors. You don’t have to be an art aficionado to appreciate all the DMA has to offer for an unforgettable ceremony.

Praised for perfection by Martha, “The DMA was the perfect place to host our wedding reception. Everyone we worked with was helpful, friendly, and responsive. Our day went by so smoothly- all the logistics went off without a hitch. The food was delicious (much better than what you expect from ‘wedding food’), and the atrium space is stunning to host an event. I would highly recommend the DMA for any wedding reception!

If you are looking for elegance mixed with a rustic vibe, read what Marilyn T. has to say about the Roadrunner Ranch. “After finding out that my sister’s wedding venue unexpectedly closed its doors less than 6 months before her wedding we were in a rush to find a venue capable of meeting our needs. I cannot say enough kind things about Jim and Cindy. They were warm and welcoming and above all accommodating. We scheduled a tour the same day and were floored by the beautiful venue at Roadrunner Ranch. The views are breathtaking and well kept. The barn is elegant and rustic, perfect for a Texas wedding. The photo opportunities are endless and they have thought of every detail. We are blessed to have found them and are looking forward to sharing a special day at Roadrunner Ranch!”
